How does it work (for US only)?

• choose one or several photos to print among your photos or your friends photos
• select the size for your prints: 4x4, 4x6, 5x7 or 8x10
• add your coupon if you have one (with the coupon “PARTNER25” you will get 25% off)
• select a Walgreens nearby (your GPS location makes it really simple) or you can search
• for a specific store among the 8,000 Walgreens in the country.
• enter your Contact info: first name, last name and phone number and submit your order
• less than 1 hour after, you will receive an email and you will be able to pick up your order at the Walgreens you selected! You can control the quality of the prints by yourself and you pay your order directly at the store.

We have devoted an entire new photo feed to let you discover the best public photos from everywhere around the world. Just swipe your usual Friends photo feed to the left, and discover new photos every minute from great communities like Flickr, Instagram or 500px. Refresh and enjoy more new photos, it is endless!

The best part is that if you like a specific photo, you can explore more photos from the photographer who took it just by touching his profile. The greatest photographers are now right in your phone!

Your favorite friends are now one touch away

Instant access to your favorite friends’ albums from any service: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr or Flickr. Check out “My Friends” in the menu!

Easily download any photo

Sometimes you like a photo and you want to keep it on your phone: a photo you uploaded 4 years ago on Facebook or one from a friend on Instagram… Just press “Download image” in the viewer and the photo will be downloaded in the /Pictures/Pictarine folder of your phone, and from now on, you will always have it with you!

With the new version, we added the ability to reblog Tumblr’s photos directly in Pictarine. And at one glance, you will see all people that reblogged or liked any photo. You will rediscover your Tumblr only through photos! Check it out here!

Faster access to more of your favorite photos: Pictarine 1.1

Faster for a better experience

In the last days, we increased the general speed of the app on Android. Loading pictures is now much faster and the scroll of the photo feed is smoother. We added a progress feedback on image fetching, so you will always know the loading speed of the image. If a photo is not loading because you lost internet service for a minute…. no worries, your photos will reload automatically as soon as you regain coverage.

We improved your experience with a faster and more stable app, and by always communicating you what’s going on with your app. Hope you will enjoy it!

Notifications

To help you be up to date with your close friends’ last photos, Pictarine will notify you when the friends from your favorite list post new photos. You will never miss photos from people you care about anymore! Go in the “Manage my notifications” in the settings of your Photo feed and favorite your close friends to follow them like never before!

A photo is worth more than 140 characters

We are now deeply integrated with Twitter. Get all the retweets, mentions and favorites from every photo you see in your tweet feed. You can even retweet a photo with a single tap, directly from the photo feed or the viewer! Pictarine offers a new way to see your tweets, so you can curate your Twitter feed only with photos and get only the ones that really matter at a glance!

Favorite photos

All photos you favorite or like through Pictarine are now automatically saved to a playlist called “Favorite photos”, plus we import all existing photos from your social networks that you previously liked or favorited. Imagine in one place, all the photos you liked on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter! We keep track of all important photos for you and from now on, they will always be in your pocket. You will be able to enjoy them whenever you want or show them to your friends.

Pictarine is now based in Chicago

We moved from Paris to Chicago one month ago to join the accelerator program Excelerate Labs with 9 other great startups. Our new office is at 1871 in 222 W. Merchandise Mart Plaza, 12th Floor, Chicago, Illinois 60654. Feel free to drop by, we will offer you a coffee or a beer, depending on the time :) We are meeting amazing people every day and Chicago is really a great city to live in. We are working hard on an awesome product on mobile and we are eager to share more of our vision with you in the coming weeks. A special thank you to all the people who are part of the beta-tester program and who help us designing the new app.

Don’t miss any new photos of your close friends!

In the last week, we have rolled out a new feature that helps you follow your friends photo activity in a hassle-free way. Just favorite an existing contact on Facebook, Instagram, Flickr, Picasa, Tumblr, Picplz and 500px (the star on the left of the name of the contact), and you will be notified by email on a daily basis as soon as this contact adds new photos on the corresponding service. In this way, you won’t miss any new photos of your close friends and you won’t need to switch between your different photo applications anymore.

In the same way, you are notified when new photos of your favorite band or celebrity are added on the Facebook fan pages you like.

Tumblr is now on Pictarine

We have just integrated Tumblr to Pictarine! It was our community’s most requested service, so right now, you can add as many Tumblr accounts as you like and access all your photos in one timeline. You will enjoy all your photos in our viewer and we show you all the people who liked your photos. Browse among contacts you follow on Tumblr to discover all their photos and favorite your contacts to keep an eye on their photo updates. Finally, bookmark your favorites with your playlists and share them with friends and family by email, Facebook or Twitter.

Organize & share your photos with playlists

Over the past few weeks, we have been quietly rolling out a major new feature on Pictarine. So if you sign into Pictarine right now, you will enjoy an easy and intuitive way to organize and share your photos. We call it “playlist”. It was inspired by the way you already organize and share your music in your daily life.

Playlists

In a playlist, you bookmark your favorite photos: you can add any photo or album to it, including your friends’ ones. So you have an easy access to the photos you really love, wherever they are hosted or whoever has taken them!

You can also build playlists around themes: photos from a memorable trip, family photos, party photos… And then, share those playlists by email, Facebook or Twitter, so your friends and family can enjoy the photos you carefully selected for them. Playlists are a simple way to create different subsets of photos: you can finally select  ”safe” photos of your last trip in Amsterdam for your parents while letting your friends see the whole set! 

How to add a photo to a playlist

You can add a photo or an entire album to a new or an existing playlist just by clicking on the contextual menu of an album or photo

or by clicking on the Playlist icon during a slideshow

Download and share your playlists

You can access all your playlists, in the “Playlists” item of the menu and you can download or share each one. Each playlist has a secret link and only the people who have this link can access your photos from this playlist. You have the choice to share this link by email, Facebook or Twitter. Or you can just copy the link in the browser’s address bar and share it any way you like. Your friends will enjoy your playlists with one click in a slick slideshow with no need to register on Pictarine! It is a secure and easy way to share you favorite photos.

From zests to playlists

As some of you have noticed, we have migrated your existing zests to playlists, so you can enjoy all your existing photos grouped in zests with the playlists features. We have learned a lot from your feedback on zests and we hope you will enjoy playlists!

This is part of the new “Kumquat” version of Pictarine, and you can expect more cool stuff in the next few months, so stay tuned!
